Steve Schechter is joining the company as Director – Cloud Services under Velocity Technology. Steve has worked in the IT industry for 33 years, with 22 years based in Asia Pacific. Steve has held IT leadership positions with Barclays Bank, Sybase, Merrill Lynch, and Warner Bros., as well as several local Hong Kong companies. In the past 6 years, he has focused on cloud operations, managing global cloud operations teams providing 24/7 support – governance, financial management, security, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 compliance. In his most recent engagement, he cut AWS hosting costs by more than 30% via instituting and managing industry best practices for cloud governance. Steve has also managed global help desks in his past three positions.

Norris Hickerson, who has over 35 years of experience in the Hong Kong IT industry, is now joining Velocity Technology as General Manager. He has previously held senior positions with COL/Wharf T&T and Systems Maintenance Services. Functioning in a variety of roles such as Project Director for Major Customers, Technology Director, and Director and General Manager, Norris brings a wealth of experience to Velocity Technology.

Michael Early is joining Velocity Technology as Sales Director. Michael has worked in Hong Kong since 2010 and has over 27 years of experience in the sales of IT networking and security solutions. Michael is responsible for the sales of networking and security solutions throughout Asia Pacific, with a primary focus on Hong Kong and the Philippines.
Velocity’s Managed Service business unit has been spun off into a new operating company, Velocity Technology Ltd.. This restructuring will allow Velocity Technology to focus on the necessary systems investments and process improvement to address the growing need for effective and secure infrastructure management. Stuart Saunders will take charge of this new company and be responsible for its future growth.
